On Sunday, October 1st, Right to Life of North Central Indiana coordinated Life Chains in 12 cities throughout the region: Warsaw, Columbia City, Wabash, Rochester, Syracuse, Marion, Plymouth, Peru, Monticello, Winamac, Delphi, and Logansport. Over the span of these 12 cities, over 300 people participated in this year’s Life Chain! Thousands of other pro-life Christians across the United States and Canada also participated in the National Life Chain.
Participants stood quietly on public sidewalks, holding non-graphic signs with pro-life messages and praying for the end to abortion. Some of the signs read “Abortion Hurts Women”, “Abortion Kills Children”, “Jesus Forgives and Heals”, and “Pray to End Abortion”. On the back of each sign was a guide for each participant – full of prayers, Scripture meditations, and hymns. It was a refreshing time of reflection for each participant to slow down and earnestly pray about the abortion issue plaguing our great nation.
Participants stood as bold Christian witnesses, reflecting on 2 Chronicles 7:14. “If my people, who are called by my name, will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then will I hear from heaven and will forgive their sin and will heal their land.” We know that God hears and will honor the prayers of each faithful witness.
