Last weekend, many pro-life students from North Central Indiana had the opportunity to attend the National March For Life in Washington D.C. and the Indiana March for Life in Indianapolis. We provided financial assistance for Lakeland Christian Academy and Grace College students to attend the National March with RTL of Northeast Indiana.
Forty students from Lakeland and a few more from Grace College who attended the National March For Life on January 19th enjoyed marching for life (in the snow!) alongside 100,000+ pro-life individuals from around the nation, and attending the Y4Life Conference. Speakers at the pre-March rally included public figures like Benjamin Watson, former NFL tight end, Mike
Johnson, Speaker of the US House of Representatives, and Jim Daly, President and CEO of Focus on the Family.
We also financially supported 4 students from the Grace College Students For Life group in attending the Indiana March in Indianapolis. Alongside nearly 1,800 pro-lifers from across the state, these students marched in nearly freezing temperatures and were inspired by various speakers at the statehouse rally directly following the march. Among these speakers were several state and local leaders, including Indiana Attorney General Todd Rokita and Indiana Secretary of State Diego Morales.
“It was reassuring knowing that there are other people in my community and state who care about this cause. It is easy to feel alone and isolated, but seeing hundreds of people gather, united for the unborn, was awesome to see.”
Logan, Grace College Student
We are continually grateful for the generosity of our donors who make it possible for RTL to offer support, financial and otherwise, to young people across our region. We believe that the current high school and college-age youth are the next generation of pro-life leaders, and we will continue to educate, equip, and encourage them in their efforts to boldly stand for life. Through our annual Life Guardians Training, church youth group presentations, and supporting Students For Life groups across the region, we are unwavering in our commitment to stand with the next generation as they face mounting cultural challenges in their defense of life.
