Currently, assisted suicide is legal in 11 U.S. States (as of August 2023):

- Montana
- Vermont (Patient Choice and Control at End-of-Life Act)

- Colorado (End of Life Options Act)
- District of Columbia (Death with Dignity Act)
- Hawaii (Our Care, Our Choice Act)
- New Jersey (Aid in Dying for the Terminally Ill Act)
- Maine (Death with Dignity Act)
- New Mexico (End-of-Life Options Act)
