Why care about the pro-life movementLeah Masen

Simply put, laws can change. If we want to sustain a culture that values the born and unborn, Hoosiers need to continue being involved in the prolife movement in some capacity.  We don’t just stop caring because Roe was overturned. Dobbs kick-started our objective.  We are now in a position to prove that our mission is not just pro-birth but prolife of the mother, father and the baby.

Someone once challenged my prolife position in a unique way by questioning my sincerity, “you say you’re prolife but what are you actually doing to show it?”  The truth at the time: nothing.  Convicted yet inspired, I immediately got involved with a local pregnancy center and started driving mothers to work who couldn’t afford a car.  It was during that time I realized the importance of showing women who chose life that people do care about their success and livelihood even after they’ve given birth.  It’s a testimony they will certainly share with others for years to come.

Furthermore, if you consider yourself a Christian, you are called to love one another and win hearts for Christ.  We need more Christians and prolife advocates to actualize the movement and be proof that our side is the most empathetic.  Don’t be idle this year, find a way to make a positive impact on someone’s life.

Don’t feel confident speaking on the prolife position?

Come to our Life Guardians Training on February 15 and get equipped with spiritual, scientific and philosophical facts to combat misconceptions surrounding the prolife movement.
