Last Thursday evening, January 18th, Right to Life of North Central Indiana hosted a Winter Benefit Reception featuring Brooke Martin, EMMY-winning anchor and reporter. Brooke Martin has joined us before, as the keynote speaker for our Fall Legacy of Life Banquet in 2022. The Winter Benefit event was held at The Barn 1880: Historic Venue. We provided our guests with a short update on pro-life activities in North Central Indiana, and Brooke shared her and her husband’s powerful story of choosing life for their daughter who was given a fatal diagnosis in utero. Our guests also enjoyed desserts catered by Saucy’s Barnyard BBQ & Catering.
Brooke’s primary reason for being in town was to share her story of life and hope with Grace College students during chapel on Friday, January 19th. Right to Life partnered with Grace College in bringing Brooke to Warsaw, and we are very appreciative of her willingness to also join us for our event.
Grace students were greatly encouraged and inspired by Brooke’s testimony. Members of Grace College’s Students For Life group provided club information and resources to students after the chapel presentation to inform them about opportunities to get plugged into the campus’ pro-life ministry.
“Brooke Martin’s testimony reveals her deep understanding that life is a divine gift, with God alone holding the authority to determine its end. Her story was a reminder that while we may not always be able to avoid pain, we can honor and appreciate God’s gift of time by cherishing every moment spent with those we love.”
Rachel Carpenter, Grace College Student
“Tears and tears! What an amazing story Brooke has! She did such a great job! So encouraging to hear from her and I love that she is unashamedly pro-life and had so many great facts behind that! So beautiful.”
Ella Matthysse, Grace College Student
