PASTORS’ BREAKFAST
Right to Life of North Central Indiana believes that churches are a key component in the effort to reach women, men, and families with a message of life. Our goal is to help your church’s ministry become even stronger and more effective.
There’s no question about it, abortion is an unpleasant subject and a tough one for pastors and churches to address.
For many in our congregations, abortion is a deeply personal issue that invokes painful memories and feelings of guilt. Others view abortion as a political or a divisive issue and one the Church should avoid.
The confusion surrounding this issue raises a crucial question: Is it possible for the local church to be both a protective voice for the unborn and a redemptive community for those who’ve had abortions?
Mike Spencer from Project LifeVoice will be our speaker and will bring clarity to this question and to the role of the Church in an abortion culture. (Steve please add picture of Mike to the left of this sentence)
Mike pastored churches for 23 years and now travels extensively throughout the United States equipping pro-life ambassadors in churches, on high school and university campuses, and at pro-life banquets and conferences to make the case for life graciously and compellingly. Mike is a much sought-after communicator who has a passion to equip others to speak to the often emotional and divisive issue of abortion in a way that is both winsome and compelling.
A Message from Mike Spencer
“I have had the opportunity to attend several training sessions with Mike Spencer, as well as have him preach in my church. He does an excellent job with some difficult topics. Like most pastors, I am very cautious about who I would let speak in my pulpit, especially about what might be controversial issues. With Mike, I had no worries whatsoever. In sermons and in his workshops, he speaks with clarity, compassion and conviction. I always leave encouraged and convicted.”
Pastor Curtis Banker, Hanfield Global Methodist Church, Marion, IN
“It was a true joy to be with a good group of pastors who love Jesus, love people, and love babies in the womb. Mike Spencer did a great job of framing the abortion debate as a discipleship and gospel issue rather than a woman’s right or political issue. His challenge was so spot on I had to mention it in my following sermon. Although abortion is a terrible sin, the gospel can bring redemption, healing, and hope to those who have had an abortion. Thank you for your ministry of hope!”
