Why care about the pro-life movementLeah Masen

Simply put, laws can change. If we want to sustain a culture that values the born and unborn, Hoosiers need to continue being involved in the pro-life movement in some capacity.  We don’t just stop caring because Roe was overturned. Dobbs kick-started our objective.  We are now in a position to prove that our mission is not just pro-birth but pro-life of the mother, father and the baby.

Someone once challenged my pro-life position in a unique way by questioning my sincerity, “you say you’re pro-life but what are you actually doing to show it?”  The truth at the time: nothing.  Convicted yet inspired, I immediately got involved with a local pregnancy center and started driving mothers to work who couldn’t afford a car.  It was during that time I realized the importance of showing women who chose life that people do care about their success and livelihood even after they’ve given birth.  It’s a testimony they will certainly share with others for years to come.

Furthermore, if you consider yourself a Christian, you are called to love one another and win hearts for Christ.  We need more Christians and pro-life advocates to actualize the movement and be proof that our side is the most empathetic.  Don’t be idle this year, find a way to make a positive impact on someone’s life.

Don’t feel confident speaking on the pro-life position?

Come to our Life Guardians Training on February 15 and get equipped with spiritual, scientific and philosophical facts to combat misconceptions surrounding the pro-life movement.
