March for Life Group on the Capital Building Steps

Thanks to the support of people like you, Right to Life of North Central Indiana was able to cover $150 of the $240 cost for students to attend the March for Life in Washington D.C. This year, we were able to send 41 students from Lakeland Christian Academy, 3 from Grace College and 17 from Huntington University to Washington D.C. For many students, it may be a once-in-a-lifetime experience, and it proved to be an unforgettable one. President Trump appeared via a pre-recorded video reaffirming his commitment investigating “churches and crisis pregnancy centers…and releasing the Christians and pro-life activists who were persecuted”, while JD Vance made history by marching and speaking in person as the first-ever Vice President to do so.

Aiden Yoder and Katie Reimink respectively, of Lakeland Christian School, said this of their experience in D.C.:

“… knowing we have our two leaders as well as dozens of other leaders fighting for our ideals is awesome. I’m thankful that we were able to attend this trip and make a change in our country and generation, I hope Lakeland students will continue to have this amazing opportunity for many years to come.”

“March for Life has impacted me in several ways over the past two years. It has better educated me on the horrors of abortion and what I’m really standing against. It was also cool to see how many people care about life and share the same beliefs as me. Overall, it just feels meaningful to be a part of something so big and to feel like I’m making a difference for God’s kingdom.”

When asked why the march should continue now that Roe v. Wade has been overturned, Rachel Carpenter of Grace College, who also attended the March, echoed the Vice President’s sentiments,

“…JD Vance said our nation’s success is not about its GDP, it’s about how comfortable people feel to have a family and we do that through policy. Until abortion is unthinkable, it’s not over.”
