Life Chain Pro-life Effort

On Sunday, October 6, Right to Life of North Central Indiana coordinated 12 Life Chains in 12 cities throughout the region: Warsaw, Columbia City, Wabash, Rochester, Syracuse, Marion, Plymouth, Peru, Monticello, Winamac, Delphi, and Logansport. All churches in the region were personally invited to participate with their congregation. In total, over 320 people participated in a Life Chain in North Central Indiana, while thousands of other pro-life Christians joined in across the United States and Canada!

What is a Life Chain?

The Life Chain is a peaceful and prayerful gathering of pro-life Christians who stand on public sidewalks holding non-graphic signs and praying for one hour on the first Sunday of the month of October. The Life Chain is a public way for pro-life individuals to show their solidarity for abortion victims and promote the sanctity of human life. Examples of sign messages include “Abortion Hurts Women”, “Abortion Kills Children”, “Jesus Forgives and Heals”, and “Pray to End Abortion”. During this silent hour, participants are encouraged to use this time to pray, meditate on Scripture, or quietly sing hymns– all included on the back of each sign.

The verse we reflect on during Life Chain Sunday is 2 Chronicles 7:14.

“If my people, who are called by my name, will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then will I hear from heaven and will forgive their sin and heal their land.” God is both merciful and just, and He hears the prayers of faithful witnesses who call upon His name for forgiveness and healing.

Thank you to all who participated in this year’s Life Chain! If you didn’t get to participate this year, be sure to mark your calendar early for Sunday, October 5, 2025 so you can join us next year.
