Right to Life of North Central Indiana held the annual Columbia City Legacy of Life Banquet on Monday, March 18, at Indian Springs Middle School’s Carver Center. This year’s banquet had the largest attendance, 175 guests, since the pandemic shut down the 2020 banquet. Guests had the opportunity to hear from a variety of speakers, including Attorney General Todd Rokita, Lindsey Maley from A Hope Center in Columbia City, and keynote speaker Mike Fichter, President and CEO of Indiana Right to Life. Nicki Venable, Director of Civic Engagement at Ambassador Enterprises, was the emcee for the evening. RTL Executive Director, Dave Koontz, also gave an encouraging update on pro-life activities in North Central Indiana. Guests enjoyed a meal provided by Foodology and fan-favorite truffle balls from Nothin’ But Truffles.
Generous guests met the match and exceeded the evening’s fundraising goal of $30,000! Right to Life donors promote a culture of life in North Central Indiana and beyond by:
- Promoting the pro-life message through billboards, social media, & radio
- Partnering with North Central Indiana pregnancy centers
- Sponsoring Pregnancy Center Networking Day
- Encouraging & equipping students through National March for Life, Life Guardians Training, & Students for Life groups
- Coordinating Life Chains in 12 locations in North Central Indiana
- Encouraging pastors to stand for life
- Promoting the Safe Haven Baby Box hotline number
- Sponsoring RTL’s presence at fairs & the Marshall County Blueberry Festival
- and so much more!
We are truly grateful for every sponsor, table host, speaker, donor, guest, and volunteer who made the banquet a success. We hope that the banquet inspired guests to provide continued support for the pro-life movement in North Central Indiana and beyond! The work in advocating for the unborn and their mothers is far from over, but together, we will continue to lean on God for strength and wisdom.
There are three more Legacy of Life Spring Banquets coming up in April, and we’d love for you to join us as an individual, a table host, or a sponsor. Visit prolifebanquet.com for more information on the upcoming banquets in Marion (4.9), Fulton (4.22), and Bourbon (4.30).
